An opportunity has arisen in our BESTPRACTICE accredited companion animal clinic in stunning Taupō, and we’re looking for an experienced companion animal veterinarian to join our team on a permanent basis.

You’ll be joining a well-supported companion animal team with experienced vets, skilled veterinary nurses, and a customer service team who help make each day run smoothly. Our nurses are extraordinary, highly capable, and very committed to making sure the team is supported, including making sure you take your breaks.
Our refurbished clinic offers a modern, well-equipped space for thorough case workups. Our companion animal vets share medical and surgical rotations, with plenty of hands-off-the-fur time allocated for case management. Team wellbeing is a genuine and active focus here.
Taupō is a pretty special place to call home. It offers the best of a relaxed lifestyle, while still having great cafés, restaurants, schools, shops, sports facilities and access to some of New Zealand’s best outdoor spaces. The Role
- Permanent companion animal veterinarian
- Based in Taupō, New Zealand
- Ideally suited to a vet with at least two years’ experience
- Shared medical and surgical rotations
- 1 Saturday morning clinic, approximately 3 hours, in 6 weekends
- 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend in 5 to 6 on-call
- 2 paid days leave following a weekend on duty
- Competitive salary plus after-hours allowances
- Supportive team environment with experienced vets, nurses and customer service staff
